A brand-new edition of the Cyberport Career Fair returned in both physical and online formats on 24-25 March 2023 with the theme "Kickstart Your Tech Career".
With high demand for tech talent by Cyberport community companies, this year’s Career Fair featured more than 1,500 job openings from over 150 companies, spanning the realms of FinTech, Smart Living, Digital Entertainment, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Blockchain and Cybersecurity, among others. Over 220 of these job openings are in FinTech space and over 110 vacancies are digital entertainment related. It also showcased a variety of entrepreneurship opportunities – and relevant support – to appeal to the venture-minded, serving as a one-stop platform for jobseekers and entrepreneurs alike.
In addition to company booths, the Career Fair featured events centred on “Job” and “Learning and Life Planning”. More than 50 talks have been provided attendees with a wealth of information and actionable advice on how to capitalise on both existing and emerging opportunities and build a future in the digital tech industry.
Recruitment talks have been provided by both traditional and new economy companies to highlight the tech talent needs in various sectors. CV clinic consultations help jobseekers make their CVs stand out. Meanwhile, career-sharing sessions provided perspectives on how students can unlock their STEAM potential and kick-start their careers; the needs and opportunities relating to virtual assets in the current market; and how to forge a vibrant career in Web3 and the metaverse.

Meanwhile, digital transformation in various industries is speeding up as the economy recovers, driving an increase in demand for I&T talents. Cyberport’s Career Fair provides a matching platform for corporates and young talents keen on joining the industry to accelerate companies’ and organisations’ search for suitable talents and to attract new blood to the industry, bringing momentum to the development of I&T.”
