Dr. Mark MAK Hin-Yu

Dr. Mak holds the position of Chief Technology Officer and Co-founder at Roborn
Technology Limited. He is responsible for overseeing the technology development and
formulating strategies of Roborn. With over 15 years of experience in robotics engineering
and artificial intelligence machine learning, he has been deeply involved in various project
design for renowned organizations such as NASA, Flextronics, Federal Signal, EMC, Cisco,
Philips, Clarion, Ericsson, China Mobile, ZTE, Huawei and many others. Dr. Mak has
authored over 20 journals, conference papers, and reports, and has made significant
contributions in the invention of more than 100 R&D applications and solutions.

Dr. Mak has been active in public services. He serves as a member of the Innovation and
Technology Fund Research Projects Assessment Panel. He is also a member of the
Program Advisory Committee under the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic
and Vocational Qualifications, as well as a panel member of Program Validation for Youth
College under Vocational Training Council. Additionally, he holds positions on the Executive Committee of “Customs YES” under the Customs and Excise Department, the Hong Kong and Macao, Guangzhou Association for Science and Technology Committee, the International Aerospace Science and Technology Innovation Organization, the Youth
Committee of Wen Wei Po, and the Hong Kong United Youth Science and Technology
Association.

Dr. Mak holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and a Master of
Philosophy's degree in Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and
Technology, followed by an MBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He
obtained his PhD degree in Anthropology from the University of California, Berkeley. He is
also a certified ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 13485:2016 lead auditor.
